Safety First
While we know how important it is to so many who've expressed such strong desires to attend the Corn Party in person this year and gather with fellow MAiZE family members, nothing matters more to us than each of you & we want to be mindful of your health and safety as we do our very best to plan this year's conference. This is the reason we've switched locations from Indianapolis to Atlanta, hopefully finding warmer weather that will allow us to do the majority of our learning outdoors. In addition, below are a few other safety precautions. While this is sure to be a Corn Party unlike any other, we are excited at the possibilities for creating new learning, laughter and memories needed now more than ever!
This year motorcoach policies will require reduced capacity & masks due to Covid. With this in mind, and being mindful of safety first, driving yourself is an option for each road trip experience. Our hotel is conveniently located by the airport, making it as easy as possible to rent cars. For those preferring to ride on a bus, we'll have one available for an added cost on Fri & Sat, if there is enough demand.
In compliance with hotel policies, this year's vendor room will have reduced capacity. We have chosen a hotel that offers a larger-than-usual vendor space, to allow for up to 180 people in the room at once. Due to the room size & the capacity it allows, we don't anticipate reaching capacity at any given time. Buses on Fri/Sat (for those who choose not to drive) will be reduced to half capacity.
While we know that none of us loves wearing masks, the health and well being of our MAiZE family is most important and we want everyone to feel as safe and comfortable as possible at the Corn Party. Out of respect to each other and in compliance with guidelines, masks will be required in the vendor room, on the bus, and in all indoor public spaces.
According to the CDC, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. Senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By attending the Corn Party, you are on behalf of yourself or any invitees, voluntarily assuming all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 or any other disease.
